Over the years JEMS has continued to develop leading edge technologies to provide one of a kind solutions for their reseller and customer base. Never was this more evident than when JEMS announced the delivery of their first FireWire solution in July of 2000. The announcement marked a significant time in A/V storage history as JEMS became the first true solutions provider to integrate a solution designed specifically for A/V editors built completely around the IEEE1394 specification. At the time, FireWire had reputation of being a low cost alternative to SCSI for connecting inexpensive peripherals. JEMS announcement transformed FireWire into a viable and cost-effective storage solution for desktop editing.
