JEMS chose the National Association of Broadcasters convention of 1998 to launch their new Storage Area Networking division. JEMS harnessed the knowledge and experience gained throughout the development of their Marquis series to integrate Storage Area Networks designed specifically for the multimedia marketplace. Since that time, JEMS has installed hundreds of SANs into Post-Production facilities and Educational Institutions across the country. Companies like Boeing and Time Warner now produce some of their best work on audio and video editing workstations powered by JEMS FibreLynx Storage Area Networks.

A Storage Area Network is centralized storage that may be accessed by multiple workstations simulta-neously. Allowing volume level, or in some cases, file level sharing among all workstations and/or servers connected to the SAN. This storage may be accessed in real time and at speeds in excess of 100MegaBytes/s per workstation, Full Duplex.
