DigiSam Product Literature

The newest offering is DigiSam, a touchscreen controlled, digital sampler that features seamless touchscreen waveform editing and instant play of full bandwith, non compressed audio from it’s massive storage system.

The concept  behind DigiSam is simple, have the ability to load in audio from any source, high speed CD reader, balanced trs analog in and out, and spdif in and out with full bandwith , non compressed audio and be able to easily edit any audio with zero latency, edit down to sample resolution,  create macro playlists, crossfade, custom fade in and out, , do seamless editing, auto latch record, control levels for playback up or down, and name and organize all of your audio however you wish quickly and easily.

Once a clip is selected, playback is instant. There are 30 buttons per page and 24 clips behind each button that always show the playlist and transport functions at all time.

That is 720 clips per page and the default number of pages is 9. That’s a default configuration total of 6480 audio clips.

DigiSam can also create ‘macros” which are custom playlists that playback seamlessly and can be created with one touch and named however the user wants and you can choose the crossfade function and DigiSam will function as 2 players that crossfade the current selection as the next selection fades up.

It has optional redundant, twin, hard drives which are mirrored so should data every be

compromised on one drive, the system uses the data from the mirrored drive without interruption and without the user even knowing until a screen prompt alert appears, all in real time. Every time a file is loaded, it loads on both drives for complete confidence.

DigiSam is also a complete touchscreen waveform editor as well.

As any clip of audio is loading, DigiSam instantly draws the waveform in the edit window. Once it is loaded, use the macro screen to monitor visually during playback of the entire clip. Then use your finger or the “grease pencil” button to mark your approximate edit on the fly. As soon as the edit is marked, a large window captures a magnified piece of waveform that shows your mark in the middle of the screen of a ten second piece of the audio you want to work with. Then you can zoom in down to sample level if you like. The edit screen has many features like start point markers, end point markers, numerical address windows, magnifiers and more. Once you create your edits and name them, you can butt then together to create one seamless piece of audio as a macro.

A playlist is always visible that can be edited on the fly and playlists may also be saved as macros and several playlists may be stacked into a single macro. Playlists have no limit to the number of clips it can play and store, a playlist could easily be 1000, 5000 10,000 clips, as many as you want. Audio can be layed out on the screen however it is needed including crossfades.

It is no longer necessary to load audio into one source, then load into another device or computer to edit, then another to create crossfades and playlists and copy back to a player. DigiSam is a complete solution.

DigiSam comes complete with a single space rack unit and flat panel touchscreen. The Touchscreen can be remoted with any off the shelf extender.

DigiSam also offers an optional hotswap removable drive and tray.
